Another mockumentary? This time with monsters? Yes, please! Creature Comforter was another idea inspired by what I was seeing happening in the lives of many people who didn’t feel free to be themselves. Inspired by my favorite mockumentary shows like What we do in the Shadows and Abbott Elementary, Creature Comforter is a “workplace comedy” that takes place in group therapy and has a little bite!

The Bright Side of Being Barren was inspired by my friend’s journey with infertility. I like to make films that create conversations. I especially like exploring the absurdities and ridiculousness of life. And there is nothing quite as ridiculous as unsolicited advice to a couple trying to get pregnant. What made this short film meaningful was how it ended. For some it’s a tragedy but for others it’s the truth and there are no easy answers.

I don’t know much about drag queens, but when you have a friends who are—you find a way to create something for them. I might not wear heels and lipstick myself, but I know a thing or two about wanting to be loved and accepted for who I am. Alex is a Queen is a father/son story but it’s also a universal story for anyone afraid to be their real self. This story is for all the LGBTQ+ kids, people, everyone out there who needs to know they can be whoever they want to be. As a parent, my greatest joy is to ensure my kids know I love them wholeheartedly.

I love mockumentaries. I couldn’t resist the chance to write, direct and act in my short: THE CROSSING GUARD, which was inspired by my 6 week stint volunteering at my kids’ school. I nearly lost my life. So, y’know, I made a movie about. 90% of what you see truly happened. And no, I didn’t name my kids after cocktails.

LYDIA ISNANTO VLOG EPISODE 52 NOVEMBER 2017 - REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA We have finished all the 3 hectic Days of filming #SelfieFilm ... Lots of unplanned and unexpected things happened on the set, yet all the last minute changes turned out to be the most perfect plan, more than we could imagine.

I wrote this live action short film specifically based on the location. It was near my house and had recently gone out of business. We shot the film in ONE day. Fun little story that I had a friend work with me on the animation for the opening and closing credits! Enjoy.

New poster for my film NEIGHBOR!

Our 1440 stars Loretta Devine and Jeremy Ray Valdez were phenomenal!

All in the family—my wife (below) got in front of the camera for a photo shoot.

My team's bible verse was Romans 4:16. Crew- Director: Kerwin Kuniyoshi Writers: Kerwin Kuniyoshi and Tony Gapastione Director of Photography: Jerry Yoon Post Supervisor: Jeremy Milford Editor: Julien de Benedictus Composer: Dan Nachtrieb 1st AD: Ned Kopp Cast- Roman: Tony Gapastione Abel: Joshua Galloway Father: Mike Esposito Young Roman: Isaac Woldt Young Abel: Jonah Gorski

My first short film was in early 2011, called: Tester. I got to create the story and both serve as Actor/Producer. It was a HUGE learning experience. There are SO many things I would do different, but the most important thing is, we completed it. It’s not perfect and in fact, there are glitches I was unable to change but I consider it my film school.
